Hello guys,

I'm planning a trip to Los Angeles, LAX, for spotting and i would like your help on the best places to shoot from.

I'm from PHL, already been in Los Angeles, but never been spotting there.

If anyone knows a website dedicated to LAX, or photos of this airport (spotting places), please post here the links!

Any help would be appreciated!

Is there is a site that has all the airports? If no, what about canada spotting?

flylinefrontier,

Contrails photography web site, that Eddie posted above, has a spotting guide where you will find the major Canada airports such as Vancouver, Kelowna, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.

I didn't find for Halifax and London in Canada, that's the reason Airfleets.net could has an area to post spotting guides.

I'm sure would help a lot all the spotters.

I like to go there over the summer too. I live in Vegas, which to me is one of the most spotting friendly airports. You should check it out one day.

Werkur737:
I hv been to/drove through Kelowna 6-7 times on my way to the Canadian Rockies in the past 20 yrs. It's the biggest town in Okanagan valley, B.C. but it's probably 1/10 the size of Calgary and I certainly didn't know its quiet little airport is considered a 'major' Canadian airport. All I saw was a few turbo-props+RJs+occassionally a 737/320 and definitely no widebody activities(Not even charter).

Put it another way, I guarantee U see more activities in YVR, YYZ or YUL for 1 hr than in Kelowna for 1 wk.

Hi

This is not just LAX, but has other sites too

http://www.spotterswiki.com/index.php?title=Main_Page

LAX can be found at
http://www.spotterswiki.com/index.php?title=Los_Angeles_International_Airport_%28LAX/KLAX%29

This site also has satellite photos of most airports showing the spotting locations as well as detailed information on how to get there

Eddie:

McCarran is on my list, sure a friendly airport for spotting, with a good sort of aircraft there. I can see how many spotters that posted here on Airfleets.net like LAS. Also i've been in Vegas for gambling a couple of times, was very fun, ten years ago. I didn't have a camera yet that time!

FLX:

Do you know if VIA (Vancouver Island Air) with its Beaver and Beech 18 still in operation?
Also the Air Labrador with its Twin Otter and Beech 1900 still in operation too?
Thanks for told me about the size of Kelowna's airport, i thought was an option for YVR!

YankeeZephyr:

Thanks for the spotterswiki site, i liked the satellite photos, better than the Contrails' ones.
