Is the Airfleets viewing count completely accurate?

Hello! One of my photos was third most popular during the last 7 days. It's a Lufthansa 733, D-ABEI, taken at Zurich. It had 520 views in 2 days which is way more than my usual average. I can't think why for those two days it was so popular. I'm not that keen on the shot myself, I have quite a few others that I prefer. Anyway, the high viewing count makes me wonder if the count is accurate? It doesn't seem to be anywhere near as popular now.

Mark, i have more than 500 photos in the database and growing, which the B727-200 of Pan Am is the most popular. I think the count is accurate for sure, i see my photos visited daily and always growing fast. Some cases, like your Lufthansa 733, D-ABEI, aircraft with nothing special, no special livery, already in Lufthansa fleet, but have the favourite maybe in Germany and by travellers of an specific aircraft. There are many people around the world not registered in Airfleets, but like the Airfleets website for search an aircraft that they flown and look here for more infos about it.
That is my point!

Thank you for the reply, Werner. Yes, I hadn't really thought about all that you mentioned. I'm very happy it is a popular photo and I was wrong that the count is subsiding because judging from the last count it seems to still be quite popular! So, considering this and also your answer, Werner, I believe the count must be accurate. I'd never experienced such a large count before so it had me wondering!

I believe the count is accurate and I assume it is from the number of hits the computer is keeping track. Some of my very plain photos got very high count too occasionally.
I noticed photos of European airliners usually get higher counts.
