Yesterday (April 30) Air Canada flew their new B777 to Vancouver with a chase plane taking photos. The formation flew from Paine Field (Boeing factory) direct to Vancouver, out along the coast and over Victoria before returning to Paine Field.
The low flying formation over Vancouver caused some people to call the news radio/TV stations and the airport.

Great photos on the site.
My flight last tueday was on a 767-300ER of Air Canada GRU-YYZ and the comfort was very good (Executive class).
I think on my future trips to Brazil, next year, maybe Air Canada will put the 777-300ER, and the comfort will be upgraded.
The flight YZZ to PHL was on CRJ200ER, see my profile for regs., the comfort on CRJ200ER is also good.
On high season, sometimes, Air Canada puts the A340-300 on YZZ-GRU-YZZ route, but only January and July.

The video makes its debut at IATA meeting this week at Vancouver.
From Globe and Mail newspaper:
Celine sends hearts soaring at Boeing
Canadian pop diva Celine Dion made a surprise appearance earlier this week in Vancouver at an international airline conference with 700 delegates. Her repertoire included Fever, You Are So Beautiful and What a Wonderful World.
In total, Ms. Dion belted out a six-song set, capped by You and I, which was Air Canada's theme song in the fall of 2004 (with the refrain, You and I were meant to fly ).
During her final song, large screens showed a video of an Air Canada plane soaring over downtown Vancouver. And, of course, it was a Boeing aircraft, because the evening was co-sponsored by Boeing and Air Canada.
Boeing's manufacturing archrival, Airbus, had numerous executives in the audience at the dinner organized by the International Air Transport Association.
While Boeing executives were all smiles, the gang from Airbus had to hold their tongues.
