I thought that it could make BOS, but surely not ORD. The range is 3,900 nautical miles without winglets and adding them gets you a further 200 bringing it up to 4,100 nm. SNN-ORD is 3,590 nm. What is the extra amount of fuel required to have on board for emergecies, and with that, how much will be left in the tanks after the flight?

I am going on your information here........ if the range is 4,100 and the distance is 3,590 the aircraft will obviously make it no problem.
On how much fuel, I don't know, that would have to do with the routing, windspeeds on that day.
And hopefully, like every other flight, there should be a safe amount left in the tanks when it gets on the ground in ORD.

AAL sends a 752 from Boston to Manchester, Continental sends two from Newark to Manchester, NWA is starting services to Dusseldorf and Amsterdam with a 752 from Detroit (i think) and U.S. uses them to Portugal. Most of these have winglets and are ER models however. The winglets give them a greater range and they are so nice to see. ORD to SNN shouldn't be a problem for AAL

752 have been crossing the pond for years with no problems whatsoever. It is certified for Extended Range Twin Engined Operations. BA, AA, Continental and many IT Airlines have and do use them on a regular basis.

Delta has been adding new frequencies and service with 757-200 ETOPS winglet-equipped equipment from JFK to Ireland, Scotland and Northern England. We understand more cities will be added soon. Aircraft have new seating and interiors with new state-of-the-art entertainment systems. Also an ETOPS/winglet note, DL will install winglets on the 767-300s. They plan to have 30 763 aircraft fitted by mid-2009 from Aviation Partners Boeing.
