No i don't want them to ban the T7's or A310's as i haven't yet seen them all!
I not that bothered about the 747's but it would be a tremendous shame to see them leave European skies
They would almost certainly be scrapped as well as PIA would have no further use for the 747 fleet if it couldn't fly through or to Europe because there primary routes are in Europe and the USA so unless they sent the 747's the other way to get to New York and all the east coast American routes which lets face it they won't they can't use the 747's on many routes

Sorry, Mate, you've got it wrong. According to my infos only planes from  Peekistan Intercontinental Airways  are banned, because the German, Dutch and Austrian Government have concerns, that anyone who is sporting such a title on their planes is not obiding to the Cleanliness Law of 1529. You see,  Peeke  in the Germanic Language stands for something extremely greasy and filthy, like a fryer in an Fish'n'Chips Joint that hasn't seen a cleaner for a busy summer season...
It is simply another form of knocking out the cheap competition in an economically tight market. Air Molvania, Phaic Tan Airways and San Sombrero Air have been previous victims in this Euro Bully.

a ban on most aircraft operated by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), in force since March, will be lifted for specific Boeing 747 and Airbus 310 planes, it said. The carrier's fleet of Boeing 777s remains authorized.

PIA Pakistan International Airlines have A310 and 747-300, that are considered medium age.
I don't see a very ggod reason to ban these aircraft. So we had to ban Air Transat A310 or some Qantas 747-300s.
PIA have good maintenance and i consider this strange method to ban A310 and 747-300 of Pakistan International Airlines.

The issue with PIA seemed to be that the EU government didn't see clear enough evidence of the maintainance and because the airlines aircraft were loud they decided to ban them from EU skies. I think they used maintainance concerns to essentially ban these aircraft because of consistent noice complaints. I mean don't get me wrong they certainly had character but the 747's at least were loud. Living as close to Manchester as i do i could always tell when an a departing PIA 747 was coming because it was always so much louder and so much lower than everything else. I also don't think certain pilots helped in this since there have been at least two relatively recent incidents with them. One where the a 747 bound for Manchester failed to contact air traffic control for such a length of time that the RAF was scrambled to shoot it down and another where the pilot attempted to fly drunk. Sadly these stories stick in peoples memories and reflect badly on the airline.
