By the way, does anybody know a cheap hotel near Lissabon airport as I will be to LIS from June 9th to 11th. I couldn't find any info for Lissabon at this site...

Thanks in advance,
Harry

Hi,

We have a friendly hotel just five minutes from the Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok. Excellent view of planes from hotel.

My favourite hotel for spotting is The Marroad right nex to Narita. I hv never actually stayed there but did hv a beer @ the top floor restaurant/lounge. Floor to ceiling windows all around that offer a nice view of Terminal 1 North+the huge cargo apron. Best of all, it's very close to the threshold of 16R. Thanx to typical congestion @ NRT, it means U get to see tons of heavies(The 'smallest' plane that use this rwy is a 763 and they only represent a tiny % of all traffic of this rwy!) waiting for their turn to enter the rwy and then power-up for takeoff in close range. Equally great view of landings. The scene is especially breath-taking @ dusk/night.

Due to the typically excellent sound insulation of hotels near NRT, U only hear a bit of jet roar even if U take a window seat......can be a real turn-off for many serious spotters.
