Just appeared on bloomberg. Silverjet ceased trading. Would imagine BA and co will be rubbing their hands now they have the market back to themselves after the demise of EOS and Maxjet

Here is something I have never disclosed before and you may find this strange BUT many airlines like a bit of competition as it allows them to monitor the service levels and if necessary tweak theirs to ensure they offer best value for money. BA and others have phantom travelers who fly on other airlines who operate on the same routs as they do and monitor the service of the competition.

If you guys have a Marketing Degree then apply to BA or any other major airline and you will if accepted get a little trip now and again as a Phantom Passenger on other airlines. It is hard work you know having to sample all the freebies of first class or business class and the luxury of nine hours in peasant class then you have a detailed report to write with recommendations for the board and if they don't like what you have written then you have all the hard work of looking for another job.
