Southend Airport in the east of England, is currently for sale. Regional Airports Ltd have owned the airport since 1994. They are now looking for a company to carry on the expansion work at the airport. Currently plans have been submitted for an extension on the existing runway by 250 metres. Thus bringing the runway length to 1855 metres long. The airport was once the third busiest airport in the London/Eastern regions. Over the years the airports flights have decreased, but hopefully, fingers crossed it will attract a few companies. Will Southend make a comeback?
