All 1.1000 emploees were fired.

Another shame of Brazilian aviation condition, i flown with a B767-300/ER of BRA and will remember forever.
My point is the routes should go to Ocean Air protecting this small airline from the hard the competition of TAM and GOL.
Some weeks ago Flex, a new airline announced operations with B737-300s, i saw the news in Contato Radar brazilian aviation forum. I hope this new airline can take the crew of BRA.

speedbird9468, maybe Varig can fly with its B763 to Europe via REC sometimes. And the summer season is coming in Brazil and the chaos in airports can happened again, said the people in Contato Radar brazilian aviation forum.

Yes Werker. I'd love to see more Eu routes open here in REC. At the moment we only have a daily flight with TAP. A newspaper headline that I saw today mentioned that BRA were looking for some kind of finnancila backing. Lets see what happens

Read in Contato Radar portuguese aviation forum...BRA left its passengers without any help at airports and they having a lot of difficulty to get refund or realocate to TAM or GOL.

I will go to Brazil next month on vacation, the day is 19th, and i will see the mess again at the brazilian airports?

speedbird9468, give me more recent news about BRA and brazilian airports.

It is not that bad Werkur.

BRA tickets are being refunded or changed by TAM, Gol or Ocenair.

Seems that Oceanair will assume all BRA flights.

And the situation on the airports are normal, I went to Peru this week and situation was calm, no delays.

Off course, if we have an airport shutdown due to weather or something like that we have problems, delays, etc.
