Hello outhere, went to Lisbon airport today, saw a Tupovlew 154, painted chesca republic. Instead of regristration it had 1003 written on the engines, and something in arab where you would normally find regristration. Can someone pls. help me to find out what plane it was (regristration etc.)

This plane is a Tupolev Tu-154M of the Czech Air Force. Its registration is 1003 and these - how you call it - 'arab titles' say 'Tu-154M' - hardly recognizable, because it is printed in white with a black shadow. Hi there. You were quite lucky. Perhaps you missed the Portugal Air Show, but got a Tu-154. Just a note to say also that according to my books, the last Tu-154 from Czech Republic AF that I spotted in Lisbon was on the 26th January 2004 and the reg was 1016 (so that one would be new to me )

hi there! i saw the tu-154m (1003) on the ciaf2005 (czech int. airfest) at brq on 10.9.05, a real beauty! that brings up a question i asked the airfleets crew by mail and never got an answer. why are the russian planes not included in the supported aircraft. these are lovely birds, i think a lot of people want to see them, and im surely not the only photographer wo could submit some nice shots... have a nice day! thomas
