Well I recently watched an original Thunderbird film and I couldn't help noticing that the front of the A380 is similar to that of Thunderbird 2. Has anyone else noticed this.

Absolultely! Airbus copied/was inspired by the front of Thunderbird2 to design the forward fuselage section of the A380. They paid huge royalties to the creators of that TV series for the right to use that design = ) Must be a huge headache trying to design a decent front for the A380 fm scratch.....

Thunderbird was a great TV series back in the 70s and my favourite Thunderbird was precisely Thunderbird2!

FAB. Have you seen the new movie? its quite good. Is the story you mention true. I can believe it actually looking at the A380. Imagine there was an Airbus A380 TH2. Thats an idea imagine the payload.

Sorry, I was just joking around( = ) denotes my laughing face).

T2 is superior to the A380 as a potential freighter design because it has VTOL(vertical take-off/landing) capability and its entire cargo area can be lowered to the ground for easy loading. The only thing I didn't like about T2 was the colour....why green like a frog instead of Fedex white+purple or UPS brown??? See, I still remember the details = )

I was unaware of a new movie re Thunderbird but will search for it now. Thanx for the tip.

Ok Ok! I know I'm gullible. Yeah check out the film its great. As for An VTOL cargo transport its a great idea. And, your right about the colour. I think would look great in THAI colours or those Qantas special colours. I think wanahula dreaming or s/thing like that.
