Who thinks it would be a good idea to create a phantom aircraft registration so that all your flights can be logged, as we all know sometimes it's hard to see the registration.

I certainly do and have been using G-BOAA for unsupported aircraft

It looks as though I've been caught using G-BOAA and had flights deleted.
Fair enough, however, are there any options available for the host of 'unsupported' aircraft that exist, not least 727's, 707's and DC9's?

To get the reg of the aircraft you are flying in all you need to do is ask the cabin crew to get it for you and tell her/him the reason. You'll find that in most cases you'll get it OK.

Are you a Glasgow man Air2bob ?

Well had i been a proper spotter when i made my earlier flights i more than likely would have made a note of the regis of the aircraft i have flown on!

Hi Captain Bill,
Cumbernauld actually, but a frequent flier from most airports in Scotland.

Hi SJR,
I misread the original question, however, I think we both have similar sentiments.
Big 59 is looking for a place to store flights until he can find out the various reg's he's missing.
I on the other hand have my reg's but unfortunately on a number of aircraft types, very common types at that e.g.707,727,DC8,DC9, BAC1-11 and even some 747's, they are currently unsupported in this system.
Nothing to do with being a 'proper'spotter

Well at the time of those flights i wasn't listing registrations in a log book. Oh what i missed that i remember seeing. Delta Tristars, Continental DC10's, a Edelweiss MD80. Oh well must not dwell on it.

SJR

I don't understand the point you're trying to make against me.

I'm simply stating that, from my point of view, I'd like to see some form of storing 'unsupported' aircraft types in the Airfleets Flight log

I think the ability to log flights for which we have no registration # would be useful. I have just started to input my log book onto the site. For various reasons I have a good few flights that I do not have registrations for but I do however have the aircraft type etc recorded.

I would like to be able to input these flights as it would help keep my personal flight 'statistics', which list airports most frequently visited, a/c types flown etc. complete.
