Hello Everybody
I have been trying to find new places to spot in Europe, and have tryed a few already.
I beleive that Paris Orly has a Spotting Terrace.
IS THIS INFO CORRECT? or has it shut etc.
If it is still there can anyone tell me the opening hours and facilities there and any other info.
Thanks In advance.
:)

If you're going to take photos in ORY send to us to screen.
I may not help you a lot, but on judgement some photos here on database i think is better than CDG. I take risk to tell you that there is a terrace but cannot say the opening hours and if have another facilities there like the good spotting places in AMS, the best in my opinion, and FRA, already good.
Next year I will make a world tour for photos and AMS is for sure on the route. If ORY have good spotting terraces, and by many photos on database taken there, i can include the Parisien airport on my plans. Like markallday, any help for the opening hours, facilities amd other info. Spotters never gives up a chance to take good photos.

There is indeed a terrace as i stayed in the local Paris Orly Ibis during for two nights during the Paris Airshow. The terrace is generally open till late but there are glass windows that make it difficult to take good photos. Also on hot days its like standing in a green house. I had no problem taking picture but it depend on what sort of quality you are looking for. Throught the windows there can be dirt and light interferrance. The terrace is above the non air france terminal and has a good view of one of the runways. The other two are harder to see.

Traffic wise there are the normal air france traffic of airbuses, atr's, crj's and 146's as well as the T7's which when i was there were the newer ones. There are all of corsair and most of Aigle Azur. CCM Airlines 320's. Lots of Tunisair and Royal Air Maroc. TAP, Iberia, Clickair and Air Europa. L,avion, Air Caraibes and a few other European airlines. All in all i got more in CDG but that is because i had never been there before. I have also noticed that at CDG they move spotters and anyone taking pictures without a permit will be fined a 300 euro fine and potentially lose there camera. At Orly they weren't bothered.

I confirm there is an open terrace in Orly Sud, but with a quite thick glass layer, which is not the best for pictures.
I dont' know the opening times but it seems quite broad.

It was open all day when i was there from when i got there at 7 till just after 10. I spent a lot of time up there and yes the photographs have two problem really. The glass is filfthy like the whole AF fleet and therefore shows on the photographs. The second problem is the reflection and light which can ruin photographs taken from up there.
