Well after the TAM disaster all the e-mails and pps and more are doing the rounds here in Brazil. I think this is completely wrong and sad. The e-mails in question are slagging of TAM's safety record etc. I think this is a real sad situation as we don't kjnow the real cause of the accident yet. The balck box will tell us that. Just for the record I've deleted all of them. I've flown with TAM many times to CDG and CNG without incident, delay, etc. I must say that they are a very good airline with competent staff.

The slagging will be coming from people who don't know the industry or who have never flown with the airline. Ignorant people displaying their further ignorance of any logical way of reason.

The video is very interesting and looking at it one could quite easily jump to a wrong conclusion so as you say let us wait until the experts have done their work and the black box has been downloaded.

Another A320 TAM aiecraft had problems in Londrina, Parana.
The hole on Right engine was tapped by a scotch  durex  and i think is a problem of Maintenance of TAM. PR-MBO the aircraft in question was on route to CWB and still in LDB airport the hole was discovered. Many things can have happenned, but one thing is certain, tap with scotch wasn't the solution.
The reputation built by Rolim Adolpho Amaro was the airline very friendly, and very good airline, but i think after the death of its old president, some things change to bad. The maintenance center at Sao Carlos is sure good.
Nothing against TAM, very good Brazilian airline, started in 1976, but the maintenance needs improvements.

Werkur737,

I think reputation of TAM gone, because the other incident in LDB.
TAM could never tapped the engine with scotch tape, this is an outrageous to aviation. The TAM maintenance crew needs improvements and the brazilian people cannot wait.
I was in CWB days ago and have to wait a lot in airport due the brazilian airports situation. It's a chaos!
Authoryties must have to do something for yesterday, the people cannot wait anymore for these improvements that never comes.
