Toronto Pearson's international Airport (YYZ) opened the largest pier of its new Terminal 1 on January 30th,2007. Pier F's 25 gates will house transborder (USA) and International flights, and have two gates equipped for the A380.

Air Canada and Star Alliance partners, such as United Airlines, will operate from the new section. The opening will allow the closure and continued demolition of the terminal 2 which should be complete in 2008, allowing construction of the next pier (G) on Terminal 1. Two further piers may be built as any traffic increases dictate. The sculputure shown in the new building is an acoustical work entitled 'Tittled Spheres' by Richard Serra, and is one of several permanent art displays in Terminal 1.

I don't we'll ever see A380 schedule service to Canada. Most airlines are switching to smaller B777s for service to Canada.

Yeah, Air Transat continues to operate from Terminal 3. I was at YYZ two days ago, and looked for the news of the airport.
