Can someone give me the criteria for printing my boarding passes at home; I've tried twice, (two different inkjet printers) and both were rejected as unreadable - LGW and Isle of Man. As flybe charge to reprint boarding passes I didn't try at Southampton.

Hi, I use an HP PSC1510 (3 in one) inkjet, and it's been accepted by both QANTAS and Virgin Blue (even the one that only partly printed, as the ink started to run out part way through)
When I'm at work I use a Lexmark or IBM Laser Printer, again both accepted by QF and DJ
QF download as a PDF, so maybe if you download, and save as PDF, you may be able to overcome this problem?
But, from what I have seen, though, if your boarding pass fails to read, it's manually entered, verified, and you are free to board
Is this not the case where you are?

At Gatwick (LGW), if the boarding pass is rejected, you have to go back to the BA check-in desk - a real pain.
But worse still Flybe charge £10 if they have to reprint.
I'm using a HP Deskjet 690C, old but seems to work fine and the other was also a HP inkjet.
I suspect it could be because I use cheap paper but ...
