Can anyone help me on this subject?? I have heard from sources that there will be a runway extension to the Horsforth end of the runway... Any help appreiciated. Allan

by god they have kept that quiet havent they..nothing even on the website for new development, strange. Not meaning to be rude or anything but are your sources reliable allan? just saying that as theres been no information, just all hush hush which for lba isnt too normal. It may be true, then there will be no need for the harsh braking anymore with the 757's :-D I'm heading up to LBA tomorrow to do some spotting by the cemetary around 3ish so ill see if anyone knows anything John

The guy who I know works for BP fueling the planes and therefore talks to the ground staff for the airlines and the airport. He got told that the talks have been going for quite sometime, I have also looked on other aviation forums and there also seems to be some old threads about this. Dunno whatever you can find out would be great.... Cheers Allan
