Hypothectically if LCC's(low cost carrier) were to all unite similar to Frontier and Airtran, but what if other carriers would join it. Like jetBlue, Spirit, Southwest, Virgin America(if they get accepted). Maybe have a international carrier to bring them other places. Frontier has Dever(DEN), Airtran has Atlanta(ATL), jetblue has New York(JFK), Spirit has Miami(FLL), Sothest has Las Vegas(LAS), Virgin America has San Fran or Bay Area(SFO). So international carriers can land at thier hubs and get them around th U.S.

I think it would have to be the LCCs themselvs that set up international routes for the carriers that are on the pond right now don't like the LCCs due to their low costings and lack of onboard service.

I fear that it will happen soon and the so called low fares will soon become as high as the regular carriers. We see this with the pricing structure now. If you book with DL or AA for example the price you get is the price you pay but with the LCCs there are additional charges for luggage, choice of seat or priority boarding and then there is your food which is extra and the low fare starts to become as high as the regular carrier.

The industry is going through a real bad time right now and our political masters seem to want to drive costs higher with higher charges to help save the planet. If the tax was going back into the industry fine but it is not.

This wont happen since the LCC's have a very defined niche in which they operate. They won't increase their costs 10% just so they can gain 20% more of the market.
