On December 19th 2006 I flew with Adam Air flight no. KI 0337
Suppose leave 20.40 but delay 45 minutes. On board I notice that the flight not well maintain ( I have to pictures of broken rubber seal on board the flight) . After one hour flight while passed the turbulance, I heard engine on my right side ( I sat on window seat near the wing) was off and after approx 30 second the engine start again, later follow with burnt smell. At this point some passengers panic, I called the stewardess, she said some passengers at the back side feel too cold so pilot try to lower the temperature.

I'm not sure wether this things can really happen ? may be anyone can help me to tell me more about the real thing happen in the flight.

I feel lucky we arrived safely at Jakarta Soekarno Hatta

Hello

well I was working on Aircraft Engines during my Military Service and the only thing I can say to that is following. Maybe You better go to Church, fall dow on Your Knees and pray to God and say thanks for You arrived savely. I once had a very similar Experience on a Flight from Manila/Philippines to Frankfurt/Germany where we had Problems with Engine Nr.1 on an Airbus A340-300. Flight Attendant told me we have to land in Bahrain for picking up some extra Fuel but why do Technicians work on the particular Engine. After she noticed that she cannot lie to me She told me that there was a small Oil Leakage on that Engine.

So Finally when Flight Attendant told You about the Temperature it was a Lie, because even old B732´s are fitted with two (2) Aircon Systems operating Seperatly and Pilot can use the second one after faillure of the Master Aircon.

Regards
Chris
