Pure dead brilliant as they say in the Toon.

You need to get up early in the morning to get some of the trans-atlantic stuff and the good charter airlines we get at GLA.

Lang may yer lum reek and your video camera

Looks like it was filmed on a day with at least moderate crosswinds.

I am quite shocked that there are so few trans-atlantic flights. The only things i saw on that video that i don't get at Manchester are the Easyjet A319's and Flyglobespan B737 which i can get at Liverpool. But then again i suppose this means that Glasgow has more room for expansion. Do you get an EK flight?. Love the video, it inspires me to make one of Manchester. The trouble is it would be about three hours long.

from Manchester to Glasgow then back to Manchester then across the pond to Canada. Manchester is not that great in all respects for trans-atlantic flights:

Continental 2 757's (summer) 1 764 (winter)

Delta 1 764 and 1 763

American 1 757 and 1 763

Air Canada 762 (summer)

Zoom 763

Flyglobespan 767

U.S. Airways A333

Air Transit (EQV)

British Airways B763 (The only actual BA flight not starting in London)

Virgin Atlantic, First Choice, My Travel and Thomas Cook operate trans-atlantic as well but all these are based equipment and rarely change

A few more GLA transatlantics

Air Transat (Airbus 310/330) most days
Continental (B757) 10 weekly in Summer
AA ceased their ORD service at the end of the 2006 summer season
Globespan - Canada and USA (although they have a B763, have used B738W on occaisions)

Equipment Variable  In the example above, as information for Air Transat they fly a mix of A310-300, A330-200 and A330-300 into Manchester.

The saying  pure dead briliant had it's origine in Glesca and these Ayrshire Choochters stole it. It is the most disgusting slogan for an airport so come on PIK change it soon.
