I submitted pictures for the first time here. I was wondering if they stand a chanse of being accepted.

Here are the pics:

Hi.
Basically all photos can be accepted as long as they have certain  things  such as:
- correct horizon
- aircraft centered
- correct exposure
- well balanced sharpness
- no grain (or...little grain)
- correct size ratio
- good light
If you are a new uploader (and we welcome you) try to think as a screener. Before uploading take a good look on the photo and see if it has (at least) what I mentioned before. If it does, then the chances are really good.
It might sound that you have to  worry  about many little things, but after a while you'll feel comfortable with everything and with a help of a good edition it will surely enhance your photos and make them even more nice.
Good luck with your photos and once again welcome

Hi,

im' totally agree with Miguel. But there's an essential point:
2 differents screeners must been agree to register a photo... If their opinion is different about the photo, so, a third photo sreener take the final decision. This system is very objective and impartial!
welcome in this fantastic site...

Can someone please explain 'bad size ratio'  or  'bad size' . I had a few photos rejected for that reason alone. They were all above the recommended 800x500 pixels, and cannot figure out what the logic was. Thank You!

Hello John.
There is no big difference between -bad size- or -bad size ratio- when we have to reject a photo that was wrongly edited (some screeners write bad size while others bad size ratio). The problem is not in photos smaller than 800*500, the problem is in photos with a size ratio not correct.
Photos have to respect a ratio of 3:2 (or 2:3 if it's a vertical photo) or 4:3 (the same 3:4).
When you are editing (on PS or similar) it is most likely that you had to do some cropping and when you re-sized the frame, if you didn't use the correct cropp tool, your photo might end up with a wrong size ratio.

If you are editing them at 3:2 (the most common ratio) your photo will have measures like this:
1000*667
1024*683
1200*800
If you are working in a ratio of 4:3 measures will be like this:
1000*750
1024*768
1200*900

If you (or anyone else) had a photo rejected for bad size ratio is because the size was something like (for example) 1024*1000 in 3:2 or 1200*600 in 4:3

If you need a few more hints on this follow this link (which is also available on the uploads page).

If you (or anyone else) has doubts, those are very welcome here as it is the only way we all learn about this things.
