The Canary Islands are wonderful for a plane spotting holiday and there are so many airlines who visit with so many types of aircraft it is just great until the wife drags you off to the beach or shops or such like.

Yes theyr are CPT Bill. I remember in 94 I was staying in a timeshare place a mate of mine had with the girlfriend at the time and it was slighly to the left of the final approach. If im not mistakem probably about 1,5 miles to the threshold. Had a great view. Also at that time it was 24 hour a day. I remeber old 707's dc8's 727's IL86's great place. The girlfriend got a little pissed of cause i didn't want to go to Playa dos americanos or something like that. heehehehehe.

O well then I have to put in a link from St. Maarten. Been there done that and loved it!! Only thing about St. Maarten is that it is very expensive.... First been to Curacao and then to spotters paradise but it was almost 3 times more expensive..... Ok I will go back but only for a weekend.During the week you dont see much spectacular aircraft(only the air fence). But on friday you see the KLM and sometimes the Corssair and on sunday you'll get the KLM also. Those are the bizzyist days.Ok theres enough to spot but not for me anymore..... I've been there from sunday till saterday but thats wrong planning.... the best in my oppinion is to go there from thursday(arrival day) till monday(departure day). O well this topic is about Greece but I'll put this info in this topic anyway.....(and my link to a picture ofcource....) MMMM!!! I didn't know that Lanzarote was in Greece. I must have flown on the wrong plane when I went there. The Island was surrounded nothing but North Atlantic Then I asked a local and he politely informed that I was in fact inb Lanzarote in the Canaries of the coast of North Africa. Morroco if I'm not mistaken
