Today the US735 rtn to MAN on emergency with fire crew's following it once it had arrived. A few weeks ago the US735 aborted it's take off at MAN due to burst tryes and braking problem's and in the middle of them to 1 was delayed for a couple of hours sitting on a taxiway when that went tech. Have US got problems with keeping up on basic mantanice or is it just pure unlucky?
A mate of mine flew on the US734 PHL-MAN about 7 months ago. Got delayed for about 9hrs sat on the aircraft at PHL and was given his in flight meal while on the ground. Just as well really as he said the flight back was awfull.
Have US had problems anywhere else or is it just MAN it like's to have problem's with?

I remembered reading a TR from Airliners.net, there was a picture of a A320 with its nose landing gear turned 90 Degree sideway... same problem with jetBlue, but they discovered that early enough (They were just outside the gate). They were quickly fixed and pulled back in to the gate.. I wil try to find that again...

The nosewheel issue arose on both a NW A320 on 10/20/07 at Fargo, ND and DLH A346 at BOS on 4/6/08 had the 90 degree nosegear. Maybe this is an airbus problem. Certainly not a US Airways or JetBlue exclusive.

Airliners are man made and anything that we make will always give problems so I think it would be unfair to say that one airline was worse than another in this context. We could all give examples of technical problems before or during the flight just the same as with our cars, no matter how well and how often we have them serviced something will go wrong.
There are some airlines I would not fly with due to continued poor maintenance but these would not be UK, USA or European airlines as by law the maintenance on aircraft registered in these countries has to comply to a certain standard and is checked by the appointed body as to it's proper procedures being carried out at the appointed time.

Everything considered, The U.S. airlines are only average, at best. I will go on to say that Southwest is the exception, as I've been flying them for over 10 years and had only one problem; and that was not airline problem but an eastern corridor hold-back because of some nut claiming to have a bomb at JFK some years ago. But also, I would never fly U.S Airways, they seeme to be plagued with problems , especially with timeliness.
