If you were given the choice of a free flight (only one) on any type of commercial airliner which aircraft would you choose to fly in. Also let us know who the Airline would be and on which route.

Now if you are brave enough also tell us which Airliner type you would not like to fly in and watch what you say as I don't want a hit sqad after you.

Just a little bit of late summer fun or winter fun for you guys down under.

I think the aircraft in service i would most like to fly on is the B747-400 although out of service i would like the Concorde very much as well as the Comet (the latter versions!). The airline i would fly with for the B747-400 would be Singapore Airlines since they are high ranked in the world and i quite fancy a trip to Singapore in the next year spotting!. For Concorde i would fly British Airways if i could simply because i would have to pay to get to France to fly on a Air France machine but lets face facts the Concorde is gone for good so i will just await my first B747-400 flight!

Oh well hope i didn't offend anyone!

Well I'll have to go for an Emirates A340-500 first class. I have a cousin who is a stewardess who flies the A340-500. I have seen the photos and it just looks superb. I would fly the longest route possible to really use the facilities. As for something I wouldn't fly on. Well I think it has to be DC9. I had a bad expirience back in 92 with Alitalia.

Well, like speedbird i would like to fly with Emirates A340-500 First class, simply superb. The Emirates first class is one the best of all.
My bad experience was many years ago with Bac 1-11-500 of Austral of Argentine back in the eighties, 1982.

I'v flown in a number of DC-9s when British Midland had them and loved them and as for the BAC I think I have flown in all that BCal and BA had and thought they were great little babies. I was at the Bournemouth Aviation Museum recently and they have an ex BCal BAC which later flew for EAS on display and I would loved to have been able to go up in her.

I still can't make up my mind about which airliner, route and carrier I would like to fly but I am still giving it some thought.

My favourite flight would be, with a window seat of course ! the Micronesian omnibus flight from HNL to Guam, stopping at Johnston atoll, Majuro, Kwajalein, Kosrae,....
My worse flight is a night flight from around SIN or HKG to Europ, stuck on a long boaring night with any company in a 3 seats row (744 for exemple).

If a was allowed a second favourite flight, it would be the Quantas flight with a 744 over the antarctic continent, operated some 4 time a year.

The airline i would like to fly is Singapore in a flight from LHR to SIN, in a 744. The inflight service of SQ is very good, the hot meals is the best and also the flight attendants are very carefully on the service.

My worst flight was with GOL when in Brazil, poor inflight service and no reading in all flights. I like to read a lot, and with GOL there are no news (paper journals).

Hi Captain bill. If you go to youtube.com you will find the last flight by the BAC1-11 from BOH. From start up and push back to landing.

1. If flying today: F-class on an EK 345 DXB-JFK
2. If flying 4 mths fm now: F-class on an EK 77L DXB-IAH
3. If flying 1 yr fm now: F-class on an EK 388 DXB-anywhere.
4. If flying as per my dream(Nearly impossible): AF/BA Concorde or any airline's Boeing Sonic Cruiser on a round the world flight JFK-LHR-HKG-JFK-LHR-HKG-JFK-LHR-..........

The airliner types I'd least like to fly in will be anything designed/produced by Ilyushin or Tupolev. Although decent airfoil+fuselage designs, their engines are just a bit too loud and the IFE+seat+cabin design are practically fm the stone-age when compared with today's stds.

michel:
What is 'Micronesian omnibus'? I understand that only CO(Continental Micronesia or 'Air Mike') currently operates the island hop flights between HNL-GUM. Is it a new airline U're talking about? Also, I thought Johnston has been closed for commercial traffic more than a few yrs ago when CO pulled out. HNL-GUM island hop surely is an amazing flight. Tropical island after tropical island, U just land on coral reef runway after coral reef runway along MAJ, KWA, KSA, PNI and TKK. Except HNL+GUM, other commercial traffic is almost non-existent on each island so when U get off the plane @ each airport, U feel like the whole airport is there just for U and your fellow CO pax. I guarantee CO is more completely dominating these airports than @ their 2 biggest hubs in IAH(Houston) & EWR(Newark).
