What will happen with Southend? What airlines will operate from there? What aircraft will be used? It is a wonder. I heard back in October that KLM Royal Dutch Airlines were having a meeting with some officials to discuss what would happen if they were to come in there. Ryanair I read were considering to come into Southend but I don't know about any further information. Flybe are already coming into Southend doing summer flights already going to Jersey for reasonable prices. Inform me of any more information on any of the Southend subjects. Thanks

I personally don't see either of the carrier mentioned starting flight to or from Southend because the facilities aren't good enough. If the airport develops a new terminal that suites the needs of these airlines then yes they may well come but i personally can't see it. The big money makers at Southend are storage and painting at the moment and with its present facilities i can't see it becomming a major international airport

In my view from what you hav said, Southend is in a funny corner of the UK where the more major airports e.g LONDON CITY AIRPORT can get more business. I say that Southend is a very good airport. What about London City Airport diverting flights into Southend?

Well personally i believe that the airport is brilliant for the spotter!! But there is very little facilities, 1 tiny check and small cafe, and also the security isnt brilliant. So i doubt if any other major airlines will go into here, for the airport that it is the Fly Be and Flightline flights are enough.
